Its like haing Costa in my ktichen.
Missing my Lattes and Capuchinos during Lockdown I decided to get this. I do have a capchino machine but it has a steamer and uses ground coffee, I got fed up standing there frothing the milk. This is just so much easier to use, simple to setup and then just press the button.Unpacked it today, on my 4th coffee (Latte, Capuchino, Creamy Latte (hmm) and Expresso)Highly recommended

I’m a a coffee lover and love making new creations and this Latissima did not disappoint! I’m absolutely in love with this coffee machine, it’s absolutely perfect for what I love to do! Good power, the milk frother is amazing I just can’t get enough, I use a lot of Oat Milk and it froths very well. Very easy to clean! This is by far my favourite one!

Frother problems
We have ja3d our machine for 18 months and every now and again it just blows steam from the frother pipe, no milk. Very frustrating for an otherwise good product

Great machine, good value for money!
*** Overview ***This is a great machine for those who want coffee drinks with real milk, but without a lot of faff.It is low-maintenance, and seems fairly sophisticated. It makes all the usual milk and non-milk drinks, like espresso, cappucino (foamed milk) and cafe latte (more milk, unfoamed). The selection is straightforward (there are six buttons, one per drink), and if you find your cup is too small you can abort the drink by pressing the button again. Also, if you want more milk (or just want to make a hot milk drink with no coffee), there is a button for that, press it and it will provide hot milk until you press it again.*** Highlights ***For me, the three key highlights are:* Makes milk and non-milk drinks* Very small! about the width of a 2-slice toaster* Easy to clean; no scrubbing!*** How does it work? ***The main body of the machine has a removable water container at the back, for tap water but I use volvic. The reservoir holds enough water for perhaps half a dozen drinks. The coffee cup is placed in front (there is a slideable platform for shorter cups) and you insert the coffee capsule at the top. When you close the lever, it pierces the capsule. Press a button and the water is heated and forced through the capsule, and voila! For milk drinks like cappucino, then the supplied milk reservoir system is connected to the front body of the machine. When unused, it can be disconnected and placed in the fridge, to keep the milk fresh. More detail on the milk reservoir system mechanics below, under the ‘Cleaning’ heading.*** Programming ***There is no display, just button and alert LEDs, so initial setup stuff (like volumes of drinks, water hardness, and power-off options) is all set up using button combinations and observing the LEDs. It’s not as nice as a real display, but thankfully you’ll only need to do it once.*** Performance ***The machine initializes and heats up rapidly – far quicker than the time it takes me to fetch the cups and put some sugar in them. During operation it makes some noise, but not excessively loud.Froth level is adjustable. The drinks come out hot, and it does a great job with setting the milk texture automatically for cappucino versus latte. I get fantastic-looking drinks out of this machine – presentation is half of the drink! And they taste great too – I’m still discovering my favourites.No-one here refuses a coffee any more – goodbye instant coffee from Tesco.I deliberately went for this EN560 machine rather than the older similar-ish EN550, so that performance/reliability should not optimized – I don’t like going for a revision 1 machine!*** Cleaning ***I’ve had several Nespresso machines in the past, including the ones with a separate milk frother. I always felt those machines were a faff, because it needed the warm milk washing out, and the stirrer inside would get milky and hard to clean too – yuk. With this De’Longhi machine, it’s so much better. The separate milk container system can be unplugged from the main body of the machine, and stored in the fridge! The milk does NOT get heated in the container, so no need to throw away unused milk.. just leave the container in the fridge, and make another coffee whenever you want to.From what I can tell, the way the milk system works, is that the main body of the machine forces very hot water vapour, under pressure, into the top portion of the detachable milk system through a nozzle. The pressure causes milk to get sucked up through a tube, and it then rapidly gets hot due to the vapour heat, and gets pushed through the egress tube and into the coffee cup. This means that the only components that touch milk, are the milk container system. The main body of the machine doesn’t need milk cleaning. If you have a dishwasher, then the milk container system need cleaning every couple of days. I didn’t want to use the dishwasher, so in that case a manual clean is needed every day. The nice thing is, it’s really easy. It doesn’t take a lot of time, and no scrubbing to remove hot milk either! All that needs to be done, is to disassemble the milk reservoir components (into the milk container, the tube and nozzle, and knob all separate easily), rinse under tap water briefly, and then chuck into a tank with warm water with a bit of fairy liquid mixed. Leave that for half an hour, and then remove, rinse and dry. Even for a guy, that is not a faff at all.Annoyingly no tank is supplied for the cleaning. However, this one (small, 102x292x89mm) works great (see the photo) and costs just 5.99:https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B004D8YYSE/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o01__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1It is worth getting that tank, because it is also useful for any future descaling.*** Descaling ***I’ve not needed to descale so far. The machine will automatically alert when that is needed. I’m in a hard water area (a hardness test strip is supplied with the machine) however I don’t trust Thames Water quality and so I just use Volvic.. that is soft, so descaling will be extremely infrequent. You’ll need a descaling kit from nespresso’s website (it is silly that Amazon won’t allow me to provide a link for that) for that. The descaling should be infrequent, so I won’t be buying the descaling kit until I need it.*** Cups! ***Not that it’s important, any cups will do.. I’m using these double-walled cups..https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00076ZD22/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o02__o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1they don’t necessarily keep the drink warm much longer (a lid would be far more effective than a double wall) but at least they keep the hands cool.*** Summary ***I’m really happy with this purchase. The machine seems reliable, well-built, I’m expecting many years of good service.I’m very pleased that this machine is low-maintenance. Everyone loves the drinks it produces.

Worth paying a little extra
Bought this after a less than happy experience with one of the Essenza Mini models, which died after a month. The Lattissima Touch is a very much superior machine, you get what you pay for. Easy to use programmes, easy to clean and great tasting coffee. I am disabled with arthritis, which affects my hands as well as my mobility, so when I say I find this an easy machine to use, you know it really is. I use compatible pods from Real Coffee Co, also available on Amazon.

Outstanding coffee!
Easy to assemble and disassemble. All the milk container parts detach easily and fit in the dishwasher. The menu system is slightly more complicated than an electronic display menu as you have to press different combinations of buttons but it doesn’t take long using the instruction manual initially. The selection buttons are touch sensitive. Really pleased with it, the coffee is amazing!

Brilliant
This is absolutely the best coffee maker out there. Plenty of capsules to choose from too. We found the cheaper capsules may leak but if you can put up with the little bit of water that comes out its worth it. Coffee is good and hot not something I’ve found with other coffee machines. Good froth which is lovely definately a hug in a mug!!

Great, user-friendly machine for latte and cappucino
This is our first coffee machine and was bought during the great lockdown of 2020 following severe caffeine withdrawals. We generally enjoy milky coffee drinks and so the milk frother component was key for us. While we liked the look of the bean/grinding type machines, we decided a capsule version would be far more practical and easy to clean. This machine has surpassed expectations – really happy with it. Simple to operate and clean and the coffee is excellent. Would recommend to anyone.

Amazing coffee. The best I’ve had. Very difficult to clean
The taste of coffee is much better than dolce Gousto and comparable to tassimo. The frother on this is amazing as you can see from the photo. Makes coffee feel like it’s from Starbucks.Cons:It’s very complex to use compared to dolce Gousto and tassimo.Cleaning of the milk frother must be done after every use and it’s be the difficult.

The correct Pods
I found this machine very good but was a little mixed up with buying pods for it and ended up with several dolce gusto packs of pods which are too large for it. However I now have the correct pods and am happy with my buy.

Great coffee and even better when the pods are recycled
So far so great! I had previously owned one of the Bosch machines but the amount of plastic waste from them was just overwhelming and their flavoured coffees have same levels of sugar as a coke. This machine (although more expensive) tastes just as good as star bucks or Costa but at home. It’s a fairly simple set up taking me less then 5 minutes from arrival to coffee and the coffee I must say, is exceptional. It will take a bit of tinkering but overall, I’m well satisfied. Also, Nespresso offer a door collection or collect plus drop off to recycle the many cartridges you go through so kudos for that.

Brilliant!
I will say now, that we have had our coffee maker wince March, and have never once used the milk frother… Entirely my fault for buying one as we clearly didn’t need it.My best lockdown purchase (though I didn’t know we were going to be in lockdown when I bought it).We tend to drink Lattes and I simply heat the milk in the microwave for a couple of minutes before I add the coffee.

Expensive but not as expensive as some others.
Love my machine as I’m a cappuchino & latte a’holic. Am only using metal pods as they can be recycled. I find it easy to clean ……. as long as I remember to put the milk container in the fridge 🙂 2 small gripes that don’t put me off using it are: 1.) even on the lowest setting it produces more foam than I’d like and 2.) the milk could be a little hotter, but then looking at the reviews of other machines that do milky coffees, it’s a common gripe. All in all, love it.

Sod whiskers on kittens…
…this just might be my new favourite thing.I’ve used a succession of basket-type espresso machines for years. They’ve been great, except that it takes so long to make a coffee and longer to clean the machine afterwards. And my wife always manages to find sufficient grains of spilt coffee to suggest divorce. Now I switch on, and about 20 seconds later there’s fresh java in the cup. No prep, no mess, and the aluminium pods are recyclable. There’s even a free service to recycle them for you if your local council won’t. Cappuccino is similarly trouble-free, with the unit self-cleaning at the touch of a button. The milk container can live in the fridge, so you’re not pouring away waste. The supplied range of pods is generous, and easily enough for you to pick your favourites. I restock with Starbucks Colombian Nespresso pods and recommend them highly. All in all, this machine looks classy, works beautifully, is easy to use and maintain, and makes a cracking cup of coffee every time. And to be clear, I’m just a satisfied customer, not employed, paid, rewarded or associated with De’Longhi, Nestlé, Starbucks or anyone else related to this review*.Edit: I should correct one of the other reviews given here. This machine most definitely DOES have a drip tray – it slides out from below the used pod bin. Also, running the milk container self clean expels no more than a teaspoonful of water. Just leave your cup under the spout and it’s no issue.*But could be open to persuasion for 6 to 7 figures 😉

Decent buy
It’s a decent machine.. the frother has turned out to be a novelty that I don’t use much … The machine does not like decpompostible capsule by lavazza (lavazzas fault in my view).. overall easy to use everyday and quite convenient .. however the quest for good coffee continues ..
